Vibrant, cool-season, heirloom vegetable with a striking deep purple skin and crisp, white flesh. Globe shaped bulbs boast a mildly, sweet, cabbage like flavor that are best harvested when they reach a 2 to 2 ½-in. diameter and weight approx. 1-lb. Similar to Early White Vienna (above) that is slightly larger and later. Excellent fresh or frozen.
