For vegetable gardens and flower beds, apply 1-2 pounds per 100 square feet and mix well into the top 3 inches of soil when preparing new beds. For new transplants, add 1-2 teaspoons per planting hole, blend into the soil, and water thoroughly.

To nourish established plants, side dress with 1-2 teaspoons per plant once a month throughout the growing season. In containers, mix 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of soil for new plantings or use 2.5 pounds per cubic yard.

For established container plants, lightly work 1-2 teaspoons per gallon into the soil surface monthly during the growing season. For trees, apply 1 pound per inch of trunk diameter to support healthy growth.
