Choose a site to place your worm bin, remember that it needs to be located in the shade to protect the worms from overheating. We will initially add a layer of cardboard followed by 6 inches of bedding, along with a 1 lb. of worms when we deliver. You will then begin to add your own food scraps and additional bedding to vertically build up since the worms work the top 4-6 inches of substrate. After you have substantially built up within your bin over time, you will then rake the the bottom of the bin to collect your castings in the catching tray, leave 6 inches leftover in your bin and begin the process again.
